Accept Your Post

Good morning assigned and appointed women of God,  

 Today is a good day to be alive!!!

 We get to enjoy & "apply" a pearl today from our very own Pastor Donna. May this be deposited in your spirit & take root for the sweetest fruit to grow...

I recently read a book by Priscilla Shirer entitled “One in a Million”.  In one of the chapters she expounds on seven things that Joshua did that made him the standard of how Promised Land living is supposed to be sought for and acquired.

I want to talk to you about one of the seven – Accepting Your Post.  I don’t know about you, but at times I’ve wondered and even questioned God about the post I’ve been assigned.  I can hear myself asking something like, “Is this what I’ll be doing for the rest of my life?”

God has blessed me with several gifts and Administration just happens to be at the top of the list.  After reading this book, I was reminded that my assignments come from the Lord.  I have to be willing to take the post assigned to me for this moment in time; for however long that moment is.  And, I have to do my assignment with my whole heart - every day.

If God never decides to assign me a different post, I will have to continue serving in my current assigned task with my whole heart.  It’s not about what I do, but that I do it “heartily as to the Lord.”  Colossians 3:23

 

Like Joshua, I have to be willing to stay in my assigned lane and fulfill the role to which God has appointed me.  I have to accept my post assignment and willingly serve the Lord in that assignment with my whole heart.  I had to search my heart and make a decision to be obedient to the Lord.
