Keep Calm and Wear Your Pearls

Hello my sisters we are a week into 2013 and we have had struggles, battles as well as celebrations. What a way to rejoice and encourage eachother by being blessed with Lady D'Ann Lynch's 1st pearl for us.

May you be as encouraged as I was when I read it...

As I sit here and ponder on what I could have done to change things or to make things better with my loss of the opportunity to win the National title of Makeup Artist of the Year in Hollywood, I have all kinds of mixed emotions. I’ve keep the faith, I ran the race, and I stood firm on what I believe God had promised. Yet, the results and the final say so, was completely out of my hand and out of my control. You may be asking yourself,“Why is this author speaking of a competition while I’m sitting here frustrated and about to lose my mind? I thought these articles were supposed to encourage, motivate and inspire me to come out of regret, frustration, anger, and this dull feeling I’m having. What does this have to do with anything that is relevant in the trials that I’m going through?” All the feelings that you may been experiencing are real ‘But God.’

Even though all the inner frustrations that you may be experiencing right now may cause you to doubt yourself and your God; He(God) is still real and alive in our lives. See when I lost the competition I could have sat there sullen and downcast, crying for days and weeks, thinking of how I could of made them see me, my skills, and the gifts that God has truly put deep down inside me. If it was up to my flesh I would have continued to ponder on the what if’s. What if I did a brighter lip, bigger hair, longer lashes, more value, more tint, more saturation. But no matter what idea or concept I presented, I didn’t win.

In Psalms 40: 2-5 says, He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. The Bible continues to say: “And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. The Bible continues to declare:Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie! You see life tends to cause our thoughts to wander to and fro and our flesh seems to be winning. We struggle with the thought of can I, and will I, ever come out of this. The answer is “YES YOU CAN” and “YES YOU WILL.”

In this life we all have things that cause us to doubt and lose focus of “The Bigger Picture “that God has for us. But Jeremiah 29:11 states: For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.I know it hurts, I know you want to quit,“But God.” Just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean it won't happen, whatever “It” is. Trust God today and know that your deepest inner thoughts are important to Him. Take a moment and pause and embrace being the beautiful rare pearl that you are, the one that is very rare, fine, admirable, valuable and one of a kind. You are that unique one of a kind pearl that God has created. Therefore, you already have “Won.”
