Its All A Matter of the Heart

Happy New Year my sisters. It has been a pleasure sharing the many pearls from our different sisters throughout last year.

I am so looking forward to all that God will be doing in each of us in 2013 and beyond.

Well for our 1st pearl for 2013 it is our honor to have Pastor Tracie lay the foundation for us with God's wisdom in how to live & apply His Word as we walk our journeys...

The word APPLY means to put to a practical or specific use. We have to learn to APPLY knowledge and wisdom to our problems, so we can solve them. But we can APPLY what we have stored up in our mind & heart.

The Psalms remind us that we should APPLY our hearts to wisdom & we must seek it diligently as it doesn't automatically come to us. When we understand this & know that it is a treasure that the Lord gives out of His mouth & it is laid up for the righteous, then it is ours for the taking.

We are also to cry out for His knowledge, wisdom, understanding, as well as seeking it as eagerly as we would seek silver & gold.

Receiving the goodness of God starts when we learn the fear of God, which is when we develop a deep reverence for Him. Reverence means we will have a deep respect & a thankful heart towards Him. The fear of God, according to scripture is the beginning of wisdom.

Our attitude will be one of deep awesomeness as we will want to praise & worship Him for His worthiness, faithfulness, & holy love.

True wisdom is taught by God because it is in His Word & it means to justify God & not ourselves. To justify God is for us to agree with Him about who He says He is & that His Word is truth.

The wise person will APPLY his heart to godly understanding, wisdom, & knows that it is an ongoing process. We will definitely have to spend time in the Scriptures to build our knowledge, line upon line & precept upon precept.

The scriptures have some things to say about a person who thinks they are wise & doesn't need godly wisdom. This is self-conceit,self-importance, & self-exhaltation. Overestimation of self can close the door to godly wisdom, knowledge,& understanding; which teaches us a true picture of how we are to see ourselves.

Our friends, family, or strangers are watching when we least expect it. Will what they see impress them in some way & if so will it be in a wise way or...?

Be diligent about learning & then storing godly wisdom in your heart because only then will you have the knowledge of knowing what to APPLY, how to APPLY, and then be quick to APPLY when it is needed.

Because how you apply the Word of God this upcoming year will determine what you say,how you'll live, & what types of treasure you are storing up.

Proverbs 22:17-18 NIV

Ladies I am praying for your hearts this year.

Let His Words be forever on your heart as a signature from the artist, letting the world know that you indeed are one of the Father's finest creation.

Pastor Tracie
