Don't Get It Twisted

Good morning strong & abled women of God.  

I overheard someone say " You can't tell me what to do! Why are you trying to control me? I just gotto do me....."
In today's world we think submission to each other or any authority is a sign of weakness.

 

The world says, " Do you" girlfriend. You don't need anyone telling you what to do, where to do it or how to do it. Or even worse it says you better be on the attack. Fight girl ( by your words or actions) don't let "them" take advantage of you. It's sad to say many of us take the worlds advise while ignoring or just refusing ( is that rebellion in the air) to consult our Father and His Word.

Do we realize that when we don't submit, when we don't obey, when we rebel, sin creeps in. Sin wants to "express" itself and "excuse" itself. I know you have heard some of these things before.... "Girl I tell it like it is." "No-one one can tell me what to do." "I'm my own boss." "I wish they would say something to me." "Oh you must have me twisted & confused." And it goes on.

We do better when we know better. 
Ladies we are called to submit to each other and to authority.  

1 Peter 2:13-17  "Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God."  

We are called to submit to God and we please God in our submissive states.

Ephesians 6:6-7 "Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men..."  

When we submit our rewards are eternal not wordly.

Colossians 3:24 " Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ."  

While we are submitting we are displaying a Christ like spirit.

Philippians 2:2-5 "Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus..."  

So my sisters when you think on being submitted, where does it become difficult for you? Is it with each other, with authority, or maybe with God?
Speak and pray to God. He's your daddy. Let him know where you struggle and ask Him to teach you on how and where He wants you to be submitted.

 

He will never leave you twisted and confused.
